Mate: Peder

Miri was born the elder of two brothers in a clutch of three, and with that came the expectation that she'd be just as rough-and-tumble as they were. However, while she enjoys a good scuffle, she prefers to battle out her fights through clever wordplay and fiery debates, rather than with talons or weapons. She spends much of her time poring over any sort of reading she can get her hands on- old texts, modern political pamphlets, hatchling's fairy-tales- you name it, she's read it. Words and runes didn't always come easy to her, though, and she's had to study hard to get where she is.

She tries to see the good in everyone, and is always on the lookout for the next best solution. Nobody is hopeless, and she is at her best when she is using her plethora of knowledge to help someone out. And, besides, she has skills that lie beyond academia; while not the strongest physically (for a snapper, anyway), she's talented with animals, particularly herding animals, as well as basic healing for both dragons and farm-creatures (be warned: she has mostly been taught by the experiences of trying to heal all the scrapes that her younger brother would get into).

She has a close relationship with the youngest brother in her clutch, Murdock, who shares her literary and debating interests. It is he who she spends the most time patching up, as he does not share her aversion to violence and physical fighting.

Miri's mate, Peder, once gifted her an eagle carved out of a stone he had found in the woods. He had made a matching one for himself, so that they could always carry the little eagle with them whenever they were apart. Unbeknowst to either of them, the stone carried magical properties, and whenever they have their eagles on their person, they are able to communicate telepathically with each other.
