> where Ellander is something of an oceanic protector, Hadal leans much more towards the cliché and stereotypical violent sea monster archetype.

> her "relationship" (if it can be called that) with Ellander is the closest the Coterie ever gets to actually communicating with someone from the Reliquary. (sometimes Arisen bumps into Kairos but they're both too polite to make it useful)
> Ellander doesn't know it, but Hadal considers them to be in a friend-rivalry competition to see who's the better leviathan

ORIGIN / Beneath the Twisting Crescendo, where the winds meet the sea, the hurricane whips the water to froth, churns the ocean in a violent cauldron that almost never calms. It takes a strong creature to survive those tumultuous waves. Hadal's deep sea clan breeds them hardy and, borne on the wild surf, they spread out across Sornieth from a young age. She'd met very few of what most call 'sea monsters' before recently, but she's glad to know she's not alone.

Fact / Never truly outgrew that hatchling phase of always chewing on things. She often has something crunchy in her mouth just because the feeling of making it go crack pleases her.

Likes / On warm, calm days she likes to float on top of the sea. It's also fun, at times like that, when someone mistakes her as a carcass or something and they get a nasty scare when she opens her eyes. Enjoys swimming through kelp forests and beaching herself and underwater ships and chasing sharks. Also, shockingly perhaps, a huge fan of kids. She's actually really good with them.

Dislikes / Those really big steel ships from lightning. They're pretty rare and very challenging to sink. Satisfying when done, but irritating when she just wants a good time. Not much else, really. She is very chill.

Interests / Underwater gardens. She doesn't know how to make them herself but they're always real pretty to look at. Seashells and making jewellery with them. Hadal is also very gentle with sea creatures. Yes she'll chase a shark for some quick fun, but she'll also help them when they get stuck in nets. The ocean is very special and she wants to keep it safe.
