Biography

Eri had always been fascinated by sickness. When they saw the first dragon in her birth clan had the flu, she could help but ask the dragons around her a flurry of questions about it. When it got to the point of annoyance, she quickly moved onto medical books. Which was a rather strange sight, to see a small hatchling reading massive books so thick they could be used to knock out an imperial. Though the clan brushed it off as her being eager to learn, which was true, but they didn't know the true extent of it.
The interest in sickness eventually gave way to the harsh reality that sickness not only could hurt, they could also make the dragon suffer. Though this would sadden dragons, it made Eri even more interested. How could something unseen cause something so terrible? But what if you made it seen...?
She dissected her first animal as a teenager. It was a simple mouse, nothing anybody would miss, but she grew more ambitious, the mouse grew to a rabbit, then a fox, then a wolf. It became noticeable after a time, and when the clan found out how far she had gone she was kicked out, even when she said she wasn't killing anyone. No matter. She knew exactly where to go.
Eri went to the Scarred Wasteland, to continue her research. The plague intriguing her to no end. Soon after, she found and joined Sapphire's Clan. She found researchers dedicated to curing and studying the contagion. She was among the latter. So she figured the best way to understand the contagion... was to view it exactly from start to finish. So she started to give it to dragons on purpose to see what would happen. In secret of course. She convinced herself she was doing it to find a cure, that she wasn't a killer. She promised herself she wasn't. But deep down she knew that promise was a lie.
