Lineage Generation: 5

I am a Descendant of Naomi! This lineage is based on the dragon to the left. Naomi was at the center of a glitch on January 25th, 2016. All auction house messages changed to be from her. She appeared to be in a shadow clan with over fifteen million dragons, but the user ID was 0. She herself was exalted at the time. For more information click here!

Naomi Thread

Jes didn't want to be a thief; it just sort of happened one day.

He was waiting in line to drop off a letter with the couriers when he heard an elderly Pearlcatcher and Skydancer chatting in front of him.

"My grandson is studying to be a cleric, so I'm sending him these robes." The skydancer held up a white robe with green trim.

"That's good! He'll take care of you well. My grandson has no ambition. I keep telling him to settle down with this lovely girl whose father is a renown healer, but he just wants to collect these silly stuffed toys. It's his birthday though, so I can't complain to him this time."

They moved up to a counter and Jes was directed to the one next to them.

"What can I do for you ladies?" The courier asked them.

"I need to ship a package, dearie. It's going to Darres Everbright in the Reedcleft Ascent."

Jes took the letter containing his job application out of his satchel, paid for his postage, and turned to leave. How nice it must be to have family that send gifts. He wanted someone to send him something too.

"That's strange... I can't find my package. Did I forget to bring it?" The Pearlcatcher was rummaging through her bag as Jes left.

It wasn't until Jes got home that he discovered a bright blue package in his satchel with the name Darres Everbright on it. Curious and confused, he opened it to find a Plaugebringer plush. It looked to be a limited edition one with metallic fabric too.

He was so surprised that he dropped the box. The plush tumbled out and landed on its side, staring up at him accusingly.

"I didn't do it on purpose," he mumbled, shoving it back into the box and sealing it. "How did you even end up in my bag?"

He waited until the cover of darkness and returned to the couriers' office. Though everyone had gone home for the night, there was a slot in the wall to deposit parcels after hours. Unfortunately it wasn't large enough for the box.

Jes thought about just leaving the box in the entrance and hoping that a courier found it before anyone else did. Immediately he rejected the idea. Even though he didn't know how it ended up with him, he was still somehow responsible.

In the morning Jes once again made his way to the couriers' office. He waited in line until in was his turn at the counter. Quickly he pulled the bright blue box out of his satchel.

"Thief! THIEF! That's my package!"

Jes turned to see the elderly Pearlcatcher rush at him with her walking cane swinging wildly in the air. He couldn't believe his unlucky circumstances; had he angered a god?

Right before Jes was struck, an Imperial put her hand on the Pearlcatcher's shoulder and brought her to a stop. "There's been a misunderstanding. You wouldn't strike the fellow who found your lost package, would you?" She turned to Jes, her soothing voice already making him feel at ease. "Come show us that the address hasn't been changed."

Jes handed over the package to the Imperial.

"See for yourself that the package is unaltered."

The Pearlcatcher stared at it and nodded. "So it is." She took the package to the counter, ignoring Jes's presence. "I would like to mail my package now."

Jes backed off and left.

"Wait up!" The Imperial chased after him. "You owe me a favour!"

Jes frowned, but waited. "What do you want?"

"I was going to mail a letter, but I forgot it at home. Could you get it for me?"

"Where do you live?" Though an odd request, it wasn't too unreasonable.

"Rotrock Rim!" She smiled. "Oh, I almost forgot - it's the one addressed to Jes of Cinderslag!"

Jes coughed in suprise. "Your letter is for me? Who are you? I'm not going all the way to the plaugelands for a letter, even if it is addressed to me for some reason! Can't you just tell me what's written?"

"Yes. Symphonia. Then the letter would be wasted, so no. Besides, I didn't write it so I don't know what was written! I'm just the messenger."

"Without a message..." Jes shrugged, "Oh well. Guess you'll have to mail it when you get home."

"No, I'll throw it away. It'll be too late by then. Aren't you even a bit curious about the contents? Why don't you just get it?"

"Do you know how far that is? Of course I'm a bit curious, but..." Jes was getting tired of the circular conversation.

"I don't think you are curious. What if I told you a gorgeous girl wrote it, would you be more interested then?"

"What's her name?"

"You'll find out when you get it." Symphonia stuck her tongue out at him.

Was there anyone who'd actually write to him? Did he even know any gorgeous girls? Who could have possibly written to him? Jes saw his satchel glow for a second. Confused he looked inside and pulled out a letter addressed to him.

"So it does work that way!" Symphonia grabbed his satchel and inspected it. "I wonder where it'd go if you weren't wearing a bag. We should test that later." She saw Jes was still holding the letter. "Well go on, open it!"

Jes opened the letter and read 'Good Job, I knew you could do it!' "You lied to me!"

"Only once. I DID write it, but I AM gorgeous." She winked.

"Is this some sort of prank? Did you reverse pick pocket me or something? What do you want?"

"Nope! No. And for you to come to my clan in Festerfell. You might not be aware, but you are a descendant of a very interesting lady who could manipulate mail. If you come to my clan I'll tell you all about her AND give you a job. Not too bad of an offer, right?"

Jes had just mailed the application to Goldensparc for a factory job yesterday. That letter had been the catalyst for everything that'd happened with the package. Maybe it was a sign. "I'll think about it."

"Great, see you in Festerfell!"

Jes sighed as he watched her fly off.
