A booming voice cuts through the applause from the last act, as Mono gestures to the ring. "That sure was great, wasn't it? But now folks, our next act here is a real talented dragon! I still have no clue why they decided to stick with us," pausing as a few laughs ring out from the audience before they continue with a small smirk, "but they did and we're never letting go of them now! So let me have the pleasure of introducing you to the whimsical, the fantastical, the marvelous Chroma!"
The overhead spotlights all move to focus in on one spot, as a burst of ice magic starts to create a flurry, starting out small, but rapidly growing larger and larger before it bursts apart, raining small sparkles of snow within the tent and revealing the figure within.
The green spiral, dressed in pale browns, stands next to a large canvas as they give a small wave to the audience. With one quick movement of their hand, they retrieve their paintbrush from its resting place, and with a few more fancy movements, flicking the paintbrush across their claws and recieving a few 'ooohs' and 'aahhs', they sharply strike at the easel. They repeat the action several times, using their quick movements to add more and more strokes to the canvas before they move away to reveal their creation; a small stick-nocturne. Their paintbrush is tucked back behind their ear, and they grasp their claws together before pushing them outwards, cracking their knuckles with a few sparkles appearing and fading out.
The tent is filled with silence as the audience waits in anticipation for something to happen. A few of the same sparkles appear around the stick-nocturne drawing, as the linework shudders, stilling for a moment before the stick-nocturne blinks it small dot eyes, and moves to stretch. In response to the crowd cheering, it moves a stick claw to its head and pantomimes looking around at the crowd, and then gives them all a big wave. A few hatchlings gasp excitedly and wave back, causing some of the older dragons to let out a chuckle.
The nocturne motions at Chroma, who responds exagerattedly before moving to grab a small stand that hosts a small monitor. With a click of a button the screen flickers to life, and Chroma nods at their sketchy creation as they make a show of climbing out of their canvas, and jumping onto the front of the stand. Chroma's act continues with the stick-nocturne responding to several different animations that appear on the screen, scaring off several creatures (from a tigerblood foo that was sneaking up on it, to a startled sparrowmouse that was minding its own business, the latter recieving a roaring laugh from the audience when the stick-noc got spooked by it), clashing weapons with different dragons, and ducking as a variety of fruits and other round, throwable objects were sent flying.
As their act came to a close, both Chroma and the stick-noc waved one last time to the audience, before bowing as the animation disintergrated into a cloud of sparkles, dispersing for a moment around the tent before settling back onto the canvas, returning the stick-noc to its painted form. And with one last flick of their claw, the canvas disappeared into a fluffy of snow, as the spiral walked out of the ring, giving their ringmaster a quick peck as they pass each other, and quickly disapearing into the back to help out with the remaining acts.

- at some point they thought about learning necromancy as a joke but never commited to it
- though that might change if Mono has anything to say about it. probably something along the lines of it spicing up their act
- has a variety of magic up their sleeves for their animation
- also uses non-magical techniques to create some of their animations
- wears headphones meant to drown out unwanted sound, ends up just wearing them casually underneath their hat
- has no limb wings as well as their body wings
- has purely aesthetic prosthetic wings they've painted a variety of designs onto
- they can float if/when needed
- but will usually prefer to strap on a pair of rollerskates if they need to get around
- or cling onto Mono if flying is absolutely necessary
- had a crush on Mono for the longest time before they got together (their ship name is MonoChrome)
- the two get along really well; Chroma helps tone down Mono's chaoticness, and Mono helps Chroma with their confidence
- it took a while for the two to get together, with a bit of pushing from their clanmates
- the first performance after they got together Chroma gave Mono a kiss on the way out and the crowd went wild
- their act differs from performance to performance, but revolves around bringing their animations to life
- sometimes, like above, they draw something and use magic to animate it, and the act will follow the creations antics
- other times they use one of their other techniques, with the help of one of their clanmates, which'll segway into the next act
- they absolutely play off of Mono when they can, having their creations interact with them when they can
- sometimes their creation is a small animated version of one of their clanmates, Mono's likeness is used the most frequently
- alongside their act, they draw up most of the promotional pieces for the circus, from posters to signs
- Splotch is one of their original creations, a marionette accidentally brought to life with the temperment of a house cat.
