Originally Sweetside Corner was a completely normal bakery run by her mother, still famed and beloved, but completely normal. Florentina can still remember the days as a hatchling bringing her various pastries to Timo at daycare or running around the bakery with the sweet scent of freshly-baked goods hung in the air. Florentina wanted to recreate that feeling of homeliness; but with a slight "enhancement". Her sweets would contain magic that provides a variety of healing and generally positive effects; such as a soothing slice of apple pie or a vanilla cupcake that could heal most minor wounds and scratches. Florentina's signature sweet though was her red velvet cake, topped with magical strawberries grown from her own garden, which features the ability to boost even the grumpiest dragon's mood. Florentina often gives her pastries to dragons she sees looking even slightly down or grumpy and many in Roost's Edge come whenever they want something to brighten their day with.

Raz and Florentina will often barter for each other's goods, Florentina offering her sweets and Raz offering his own spices from his trades. While being in slight competition with each other for merchants buying their wares, ultimately they respect each other.

Crops don't usually fare well in Roost's Edge due to it's lack of proper sunlight, so she has to rely on Arian for most of her fruits and ingredients. Fortunately, Florentina's mother has known the elder Imperial for years now so Arian is glad to keep supplying her daughter. The Guardian even occasionally comes over to help Arian water his crops or drop some energizing sweets over.
