Draghishik is, by all accounts, one of the younger primordials. His existence was first recorded as dragonkind began to colonize the Flamecaller's land; he was a voice in the Blacksands, seeking victims of tragedy and those who had little left. Initially, Draghishik was regarded as a servant of the darker gods. He would promise respite for a price: a pound of flesh to end drought, a beloved memory to ensure wealth, an unhatched egg to cure illness. Old depictions set him as a contrast to the other primordial messenger and believed that she carried prayers and he carried bargains. In truth, Draghishik has the gods' ear only so much as other untamed primordials do. His alliance with the Flamecaller is more akin to a landlord and a pleasant tenant, though it does afford him more influence into the deity's ways than her mortal followers have. This is compounded with Draghishik's reputation among primordials; he is young and clever and yet never too greedy, and thus he is often called upon to settle disputes between them. The most famous of these is, of course, the one of the scholar and the stars, but that is a tale for another time.
One of Draghishik's most peculiar involvements is with the Plaguebringer, with whom he is rumored to have sired a child. Whether substantiated or not, he maintains a strangely close companionship with her despite living in the Flamecaller's territory. And it is quite strange that the child calls upon Draghishik when he wishes — most often to find a scapegoat to settle his own debt. In comparison, Draghishik's relationship with the Flamecaller's under-earth son is far more professional, and he will appear amidst the blood and bone to offer exalted dragons that the Flame King desires.
