Ja, sam. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ Affogato is an ancient forest being, older than the trees themselves and shaped by the earth they were born into. Originally, they appeared as a monstrous creature, covered in discarded animal hides they tore from carcasses that had already given their nutrients to the earth and lichens they cultivated around the forests. They traveled frequently, changing their dwellings every so often each time they sensed the earth had spewed another natural disaster, taking care of the recovering forest by spreading their gift, taking the lichen off themselves and planting it in each destroyed forest they can visit. Affogato, still in their original form, was always a solitary being, choosing to rather spend time hunting with predators or surrounded by the many herbivore species as they grazed. As time passed, so did the age of the forest, and people began appearing. Primitive and weak as this new species was, Affogato was naturally shy and though not distrusting, would rather not have their sights be set on them. So, as people began encroaching more and more onto the forests Affogato visited or stayed in, so did Affogato's appearance, becoming more and more human-like as time passed. But, they were still a forest spirit at the end of the day, and so, kept many features of their animal companions. As time passed, Affogato became a myth by the rare eyes that spotted them, appearing as a blessed forest angel to humans that strayed too far into the darkness. Written by RedWind | x |

first of all this dragon is gorgeous and i love their lore <3
- they are fond of different animal hides and enjoy silently watching travelers to observe the clothing they bring from other lands.
- it's not a rare occurrence that someone's fur blanket goes missing while camping in the woods. affocato doesn't mean harm though, of course, because it always gets returned.
- affocato isn't too keen on human language but they put in an effort to mimic and learn the sounds. during this process they've made up their own "words" to describe the objects they "borrow".
- while their human skills aren't the best, affocato is great at blending in with wildlife. they enjoy building relationships with the creatures they live with- but having to watch those around them grow old never gets easier.
