It had been a quiet day; perfect for a walk through the corridors lit with rows of kunzite. There seemed nothing amiss, save for the usual scuffles that came of researchers clashing over their findings. Nothing that the Knights couldn't handle, though. Yet, as you passed a certain cave, the silence grew heavy moreso than peaceful. You decide to peek your head around the corner, knowing precisely whose laboratory you were interrupting.
There stood Taijitu, their flaming orange eyes locked onto each other, as still as the statues that stood guard outside. It appeared to be some sort of… staring contest? But, as you moved to leave, one pair of eyes snapped to lock onto you instead. "HAH! You looked away!" Jitu cackled, a devious grin crawling onto his face. "Of course I'm going to look at whatever comes in the door! What if it was some sort of escaped experiment? Or a beastclan invader? We could have been in real danger!" Tai insisted with a frown. "Hehehe! Doesn't matter, 'cause that means I win by proxy!" "That's… not what 'by proxy' means." "Well then I win by… uh… you being worse than me!" "... Can we please just get back to the experiment?" "Tai's a sore loserrr! Tai's a-" Before Jitu could spout another teasing word, a tail wrapped around his maw. Tai's piercing gaze could have felled an army, though it didn't seem to have an effect on Jitu. It looked like they were going for a round two on their staring context. You decide to leave the two alone. |
