Biography
__._ |
To draw back the bow’s string, a deep inhale to taste the humid jungle air. Muscles tensing, waiting, for the familiar pull in his shoulder, traveling down his outstretched arm. Steady now, steady. Soon, soon he would release and send forth the arrow with all the force and strength of an irate god. It wasn’t even a lie, no embellishment. The floating, glow of the crystal flaring up, his prey was found and now it would fall. Crumbling in the dust and dead leaves, while he emerged from the underwood and thicket. Savia’s deepest, darkest jungles held secrets to fill this emptiness within his chest, gaping, hungry, tugging on his soul. What use was there for eternity, for immortality if one could not help but loathe the fertility of any and every exercise. Devoid of empathy, devoid of drive, he would have withered in the black city and darkest heart. On a throne shaped out of void and one out of smitten sunlight, his parents sat, connected by a flare of lightning whose stench out drowned the rot by farm yet he could still sense it. Past the bite of ozone and roses, cut apples and pomegranates. With no sight in his eyes, milky, glowing, pale, it fell onto the orb of crystal within his hands. So show, to see, share, held afoot by nothing but the strength of a thrown away thought. Many lusted after those thrones, some ran away with lovers fair, but not him. Not yet. With his womb empty and his heart barren, he sought out the thrill of the hunt, filled to the brim with magic, he turned towards the far flung horizons. Their amber clad ally called and he answered, swirling silks and with a bow formed out of light and magic, he arrived on a hail of floating rose petals, only to be turned towards the ones unworthy. The ones whose bodies and minds were deemed unworthy, marred by fur and claw, feather and scale. The one of him outmatched the legion of many, because there was no end to his life. A brightly shaped arrow to end a life, while claws scraped clean the insides of his ribcage, bones crushed under the weight of pummeling hits. But Undying was far more than a mere name. It was a promise and a curse. The feral kin was quick to learn, their pale hunter - clad in beauty - was the true beast walking among them. Even his sweet embrace brought forth nothing but death. Until they banded together, a hub full of scared, terrified creatures whose sole desire was to live and turned towards their ephemeral predator. A child from your flesh for every child of ours you killed., they demanded, hackles raised and fists clenched. Expecting to be turned away, to be torn apart by a beauty too lethal to exist. Instead, he accepted those many hands outstretched, the fingers running over his skin and through his hair felt more natural than the stifling of clothes, there was no reason to return, as he had found his home. | ___ |
