From almost the moment Cypress hatched, he always felt some sort of hatred towards Eirwen. Prince Eirwen was never went easy on his children, and Cypress was no exception. He eventually began avoiding him as often as possible, hoping to steer clear of the fae's judgement. The young fae never felt like he belonged in the winter court's palace, and the fact Cypress and his siblings hatched early outside of winter did little to calm his nerves. What would normally spell exile for others didn't affect him. He is not quite sure if it was his mother or possibly his father finding some form of sympathy he's never shown before for his five children. Sometimes Cypress wonders if he would have rathered his father had cast him from the fae's lands. Cypress became cold and distant from many of the other Fae in the winter court, being easily irritable and quick to snap. His mother was one of the only others he found he had an easy time talking to.
While Cypress did occassionally play with the idea of taking over after his father in his head, he inevitably decided that it was not to be. One of his older siblings were much more likely to take over, especially as they had not been born outside of winter's time. He had no want to fight for the right to take over, afraid deep down of the bloodbaths that could easily follow power-hungry royalty who sought to take over the throne, though he would never admit it out loud. The last thing he wanted was for a rumor that he was a coward to start. The fae spent much of his time learning to fight should the need ever come, possibly even serving eventually as a fighter, as his size could easily assist him in defending his home or himself. As almost all Fae inevitably do, Cypress, too, eventually passed through the veil in search of a mate. After traveling through Sornieth for many weeks, it was Astara that he found. He found himself enchanted by the starry nocturne, and she was someone who easily melted his frozen heart. He settled with her in her clan, still sometimes leaving to visit his mother, though he always returned to Astara's side. And once winter ends, and he finds himself inside the faerie's realm once again, he will wait for autumn's end to return to her side. |

All faeries are proud, but the Winter Court is the most prideful of them all... Congratulations on adopting a Descendant of the Winter Court~  Cold and unsympathetic, the Winter Court fae are as unmoving as the ice they rule over. Earning favor within this court is incredibly difficult, and those who do find it is far easier to lose their favor. The Winter Court is most well known for granting questing dragons justice, but everyone gets their due in time.
