31.png Isaak collects moments. When the sun rises and the clouds start to glow. An egg cracks, broken from the inside. The best part of a song, the climax of a dance. Potters plop down their clay. The flash of a smile on someone's face when they eat good food. He watches them and holds them in his head. He loved the way the sun lit up the ocean and the way the parents gasped when they caught that telltale sound. He saw the concentration etched into the singer's face and the control on every part of the dancer's body. How the artisan handled the clay with familiarity, sternly teaching it what it was meant to be. The instant of joy over something so inconsequential as a meal. Isaak keeps these small memoirs and more, purveying his collection like a mother over her children.

He is so preoccupied with his memories of certain moments that he has failed to notice how he appears to others. He often stares, not out of malice or curiosity but lost in his own mind. This trance disquiets many dragons, and though he hears the whispers around him, they don't seem real or important, as if the dragons speaking were behind walls or underwater. So he forgets them and looks at his moments again.
