Upon gazing at the still dragon, you feel a sense of unease.

This statue was once a dragon, but everything about them except their physical form has been lost to the sands of time. Younger dragons sometimes make up stories about her life, how she perhaps fought to defend her love, or because she felt a need to stand up for the dragons who couldn't. They call her Former, for she must have had a name before petrifying away, but the name has now been forgotten as well, leaving her only with the precursor title. An oddity about the Pearlcatcher is that they do not hold a pearl, instead clutching a steel shield. Even now, she seems to be mourning a loss of some kind.
