Biography
When the Gaolers first revealed themselves to the rest of Sornieth, they were met with some suspicion. However, over time, they settled into this new world, and once they got over their initial caution towards other flights, nowhere did they fit into more easily than Plague. They shared a drive of survival and community defense, the same warrior spirit burning within, and the Plaguemother's Children welcomed them as allies against the coming storm.
Even with that, though, for a Gaoler to undergo the Necromantic Trials and become one of Mother's Chosen was met with trepidation at first. But when it was realized that there was no other way to integrate with Plague and seek an audience with the god, one was finally chosen. Seeker Ebe—bearing the ancient name of the Holy Frost, having been marked since birth for greatness—accepted the challenge.
Mother's curse-blessing, the Jhor, the divine disease, recoiled from the Ice that wells within each first-generation Gaoler, denying the body the possibility of ever fully accepting it and becoming a true Necromancer. That Seeker Ebe made it through the Trials at all, rather than falling and becoming a Ghoul, was a surprise to some. Others expected nothing less from a true Gaoler—it is the determination to be nothing less than perfect that drives them and the Plagueborn. Devotion is the same no matter where you point it.
Seeker Ebe now stands between two gods, equally attuned to the will of the Icewarden and the Plaguebringer, doing his best to serve both. His cause remains clear: flight boundaries have become irrelevant. The Shade must be destroyed.
