Unlike Magnus, his silently intimidating nature comes not from his size but from the way he seems to be sizing up everyone he interacts with. The harsh weather on Reclaimer's Glacier has aged him preemptively -- while his thin, bony face looks almost middle-aged, he is actually younger than Hanne. Johann just needs this one break to reach Senior Inquisitor status, becoming the youngest dragon to ever do so, and it is imperative for him that the hunt for the Shade-touched he has been sent to supervise goes off without a hitch. A contact has recently tipped him off that someone else from the Necromantic Council is searching for the same targets as his team, and not only that but wants the targets dead. That won't do at all, and Johann doesn't care what the Plaguebringer herself wants to do with the Shade-touched; they must be taken into custody and brought back to the only flight that knows how to deal with them properly, to be studied appropriately and put into stasis. why in icewarden's name does this envoy have a wanted criminal in it? the first thing he's doing when he makes senior inquisitor is proposing some changes to the laws about hiring dragons like her. he can handle a shade creature without her assistance. |
