If Thicket Haven has a successful alliance, a victory in battle against the odds, or a repurposing of bad fate to make it work for good, Vetinari is behind it. He fixes what is broken, organises what is chaotic, and leaves what is adequate alone.

Vetinari is, if you were to ask him (and receive an honest answer), a bad dragon who makes is good at planning. It would take somewhat more context to understand that he does not, in fact, think there is any such thing as a good dragon, and that all are inherently bad. While he is a very eccentric philosopher by night, by day he is one of the sharpest and most engaged minds you will ever have the fortune to meet. Whether the fortune is good or bad depends on what he thinks of your intentions.

Vetinari is motivated by what he thinks of as a moral duty to make the world a better place. He works in the service of his clan, Thicket Haven, but also regards himself as in the service of the betterment of dragonkind.

He has few close bonds with others, but few in Thicket Haven will strike against him. He also cultivates influential allies in other clans, including many local beastclans.

____Vetinari appears thin and frail, but also very in control. His ice-cold eyes can send a chill running down the spine of anybody who dares meet them. He rarely flies, and uses canes for support when standing or walking.

____He prefers to dress in simple black clothes, but has not been able to sufficiently fight the rumours that he is a sorcerer.

____That very rare thing, a true polymath, Vetinari has studied medicine, music, religion, combat, customs, alchemy, dance, philosophy, and exercise. He is also learned about other topics, but prefers not to advertise those.
