Cotopaxi stands in a confusing place within the Clan of Red Roses. A dragon blessed with being able to speak and hear all of the Red Rose's ancestors yet lives in a clan full of dragons who regularly denounce deities and spirits. Spirits constantly reaching out from her wings and the cacophony of voices echoing in her head, at times even speaking as one of her ancestors. Even gracing her with the title of prophet was a subject widely debated within the clan. Cotopaxi struggles with her identity as her own self as well, being so used to being seen as an object or mouthpiece for dragons seemingly more important than she'll ever be. She is also the only dragon within the clan who still openly worships the gods, causing her to become even more ostracized. If she wasn't mates with the king of the clan himself, who knows what fate she would've succumbed to by the claws of her own family.

RELATIONSHIPS

Being mate to the king doesn't come with many responsibilities rather than appearing with him at public. Even then, their relationship has taken a strain from Oweynagat's stress and constant asking of Cotopaxi to speak to him as their ancestors.

Andrine remains as the only god that has contacted her directly through her thoughts, not being a dragon from their clan obviously. She's kind enough to train Cotopaxi to control her thoughts and taught her to focus in or tune out the voices.
