Biography

Mist-Wanderer
Light shall guide the way. A shooting star... Irwen was caught out during the star's passing. Dazed and with the marks on his wings glowing oddly, he was found by Fortune on the border patrol and dragged home for careful treatment by Hyskerekk and Ykkerekk. He remains in and out of delerium. * Irwen is beginning to feel better, though the strange, smoky patterns on his wings and the odd luminescence of his feathers have yet to fade. * Greenskeeper Gathering has seen off the last of the Arcane warp, though the changed markings have stayed. Irwen has been happily celebrating. |

Irwen is a quiet coatl who serves the clan as part of the border patrol. However, his heart lies in search and rescue operations: retrieving dragons lost within Cindercone's chaotic borders, and off their storm-tossed and turbulent coast. It has been noticed, however: while he leads most lost travelers to safety, he has driven others into the jaws of pirates in the Blacksand Mists. Found as a young skydancer, Irwen serves as another instance of dragons of other species spontaneously turning into coatls during stress. As with Azaeleus, his scent was always significantly coatl, but his appearance was not. Miscreants have been studying him extensively; Teviskhar, in particular, seems intrigued. While necessarily somewhat distant by his outside patrol, Irwen is jovial and friendly with the clan as a whole. Whenever he isn't on his beat, he can be found carousing around whatever other dragons will have him. He is particularly friendly with the irascible Yskerryth, and friendly with all of the border patrol. Craft Irwen is still finding his place with crafts, but eagerly assists Hrijikirrik in the creation of strings of lanterns. He has used some of these to augment fishing nets used for catching nocturnal fish and squid: the lights float at the surface, attracting prey into tangle-nets and are easy to find and retrieve in the early morning. Physical description Irwen is a large, lightweight coatl with even proportions. He is graceful both overland and in swimming, but a slightly utilitarian flyer. Like most Light dragons, he has a naturally pleasant scent. Combat As yet untested, but eager to begin. |

Origin Irwen was found by the border patrol, collapsed inside the outer reaches of Cindercone's territory, a parched and starving skydancer hatchling. He recovered once brought within their borders, and became eager to find a way to recover others in his position. During the Mistral Jamboree, he shed extensively and began to grow, eventually transforming into a coatl. |

Kin Irwen hails from a family of black-and-orange dragons. His father is a Plague wildclaw, son of mirrors, while his mother is a Lightning skydancer. Both are now exalted to Lightweaver. Surprisingly, for an unassuming dragon, his ancestry is dominated by mirrors. |

Familiar
This hypnotic-eyed bird was assigned to Irwen when he first came to the clan. She is still very protective of him—a literal mother hen—and will attempt to defend him against overbearing dragons, generally with the result that they break off laughing.
