"Heyyy!! Hey hey hey!" A shape in the dark called out to the guard dragon, Wisteria, passing his cell. She didn't turn her head. The thing fiddled with the cuffs around his so-called legs and so-called neck, jingling the chains in a way he knew highly irritated her. "I'll keep doing this till you talk to me," he said.
Wisteria paused. "What." She asked in a dead tone. "Aren't you bored? Doing this every day of your life? You want to spend your adult years pacing around a bunch of cells filled with shadows?" "I am not interested in making a deal with you," she said from the mental script she'd given him one hundred thousand times before. "If you continue to bother me I'll put you back in your box." God, he hated the box. He'd already tried so many of his usual offers. Something from down the hall shrieked, and her expression darkened. He had an idea. "I can give you silence," he said. When Wisteria didn't shut him down immediately, he continued, drawing from the limited things he knew about her. "I can bring you somewhere quiet, where nobody will find you and bother you, and you'll have the time to do and read whatever you want." She hesitated for a long moment. "I know what the catch is, beast, and I'm not interested in you taking my voice and my body for your nefarious means." Wisteria began walking once more and ignored him calling for her to come back, but it was too late for her. Erebus had something to work with now, and it was only a matter of time. -- Sensitive data.
