FrostCrystal
Diplomat for Peace

A long time back there was a great war in the Southern Icefields that brought death and harm to many a dragon. FrostCrystal and his mate, IceShine, were unfortunate hatchies born among this destruction. Still just a youngling, he fought alongside his family and saw much of the death and destruction of war, along with the death of his mother on the field of battle. The tide of battle turned his family left to Light, the birthplace of imperial kind. He could not stand to see the warriors fighting in the Arena, the blood-thirsty sport brought only painful memories to the surface. Thus FrostCrystal took up the scholarly pursuits in Light, studying politics and debate, the calling for truth and justice echoing in his heart.

But alas, FrostCrystal’s father could not stand the searing beauty and purity of Light’s realm and took FrostCrystal with him to Shadow’s abode. The land of Shadow and its denizens did not endear itself to him. The politics and games of manipulation, lies and delight in winning at any cost, made him ill at heart. He tried to speak of trust, truth, peace and honor amongst all dragons, but was quickly ridiculed and antagonized by those who preferred the shadows of the night. So he left his father in Shadow to walk amongst the shallows of Water, and it was there he found IceShine.

She and he spoke of their pasts and paths, how they twisted and twined to meet at that place. He spoke to her about his dreams of peace without bloodshed and conviction that the relationships between dragons should be built upon trust and truth. And to him, she told of the battles she had fought and how honor and peace by protection can be established by warriors. He shook his head, for peace could not be built upon blood, but he would try his best to prevent the death and destruction he saw in Ice.

So the two made home in the Clan of the Lionfish, IceShine becoming a Diplomat of War and he of Peace. Together they both seek to resolve the conflicts of dragonkind. It has been a rocky road, for even in the islands and deeps of Water there is conflict, and FrostCrystal is often in the thick of debates- and he has often come very close to harm. He has changed his form from Imperial to Fae to Pearlcatcher to avoid assassins who have sought to his death for his words. (though most were dealt with by IceShine in secret) Undeterred by these conflicts, IceShine has even begun learning the languages of the beasts under the tutorship and blessing of TideSpirit, so that he may also help to mend the relationship of beastkin and dragon.
