Coming from a long bloodline of oracles, Polaris was born with a strong innate ability to see the future, one that even the seers of the clan would envy. Growing up, however, he refused to follow in his ancestor's footsteps and became a guard. He never exercised his talent in exchange to devote his entire life to protecting the clan.

Not being quite the right size to be a lair guard, the Head of the Guard put him on her team of scouting dragons. His gift had proved useful many times in the past, despite the lack of teaching, through the random - and often painful - visions he would have while out on the field. Both the priests and the guards suggested that he take a bit of time to control his ability, but time and time again he had refused to do so.

Maybe it's because he knows something that the others don't?
