Biography
Lore: (written in the perspective of Kier but it gives the jist of her character)
And on the outskirts of this scene was Selen.
Moon Festival always affected her differently than the others. She would sit and stare at the moon as though hypnotized, body swaying slightly to a song only she could hear.
She was constantly wrapped up in her own world, but Moon Festival just made her more so. Her strange, charming way of seeing things had captivated Kier. He was honored when she let him into her imagination and walked with him through town explaining all of the little things that she had seen -- things like animal tracks and the legends created around the shape of constellations, things that Kier never would have thought of as important.
Selen was lovely, and thoughtful, and once told Kier that he was the first person she thought of now when she saw something interesting and wanted to tell someone about it. The clan grandmothers in the village murmured that she had the moon in her blood. Kier didn’t know if this was true, but he knew that she had the moon in her soft gray eyes and the round curve of her frame.
He learned, years later, that his childhood imaginings of Selen as the moon were only part of a bigger truth. The moon priestesses had come to their town, saying that their Head Priestess was getting older and was searching for a successor, that she was looking for someone who could take over the mantle of embodying the moon on the earth, that she had dreamed of Selen.
Selen had found her calling. She told him that she finally felt like there was a place where she belonged, and although Kier had pleaded with her to stay, he understood that that place wasn’t with him.

moon flows in her blood, symbol of strength.
calling to her, fingertips reaching to her in the sky
