Biography

Cobalt is an engineer specializing in steam powered contraptions. He has a part time gig maintaining the pneumatic tubes in Goldmortar Library. This job is mostly a precedent for him to access rare engineering books for his own contraptions.

Though seemingly well intentioned at first, Cobalt's inventions have a strange tendency to become weapons. Prosthetic hands become battle augments with retractable saw blades; pocket lighters become portable flamethrowers. He insists these changes are the result of the natural creative process, and not a symptom of hidden homicidal rage.

Cobalt is solitary and somewhat arrogant. Engineering is his sole obsession, and he frequently foregoes friendships and relationships in favor of tinkering late into the night. He's perpetually smeared in grease and doesn't own a single unstained shirt. Many dragons report feeling mildly creeped out by him.

The end of his tail was amputated and replaced with a steam one. It possesses a light-based laser at the end that can cut through small objects; he curls it over his shoulder like a scorpion's stinger when working.

This dragon was born in The Floating City.

The Floating City is the only of it's kind. Magi-mechanically elevated and propelled, it and it's Spiral denizens travel Sornieth seeing all that there is to see. Originally formulated by Xero, Erek, Dusk, and Ivory, the floating city has since expanded to include all the basic amenities needed for a small city. Cobalt was born in the Floating City, and has thus seen more of the world than most hatchlings.

Seen as blessed for inheriting the rarest genes of his parents, Cobalt has a sense of superiority and pride that is a bit much for his age. He believes that he rightly should be treated as royalty or nobility, and seeks a clan that will allow for him to take such a position.
