Hatchling Lore:

A hatchling given up to the Snapper Save as a baby, Midrin has had an affinity for magic since she was little. Her fledgling spells were already colourful bursts and injury healing, and as a Plague child, and such a young one at that, her skills were quite extraordinary. With every day, even still as a hatchling, her magical power grows. She's been taught the basics for control from the caregivers at the Rescue, but they know that she needs to refine her skills, and to do so she needs to seek training elsewhere. They have been putting aside a little bit from every donation to send her to the Starfall Isles early, where she will hopefully have a scholarship to one of the academies as a young prodigy. They've already arranged for several schools to send representatives to the Rescue to assess her raw talent and potential, and so far the results seem quite promising. She's happy at the Snapper Save with her friends and denmates, and still blissfully unaware of what trials lie ahead.


The caretakers at the Snapper Save were hoping to wait until Midrin was older, but as her magic grew, they soon realized that she would need to train her magic from a younger age than they were expecting, and they would need to send her away soon. They had saved enough money, and the academies were as aware of her magical potential as they were, so they sat down with Midrin to explain what was happening and let her pick her favourite academy. Despite being a young child, she understood, and said goodbye to all of her friends. She packed her belongings and set off with a representative from the academy, and headed off the the Starfall Isles. There, she learned magic from the mages with the other prodigies, usually the children of the rich or talented. Most of the other students at the academy were older, but she had some friends. Her power continues to grow, and she gets to visit the Snapper Save during breaks. When she graduates, she will most likely have a job at the academy or the Oculus of the Eleven, if nothing else changes.


Young Adult Lore:

Midrin has reached adulthood, and is still at the academy. She has worked hard, and is able to harness, or at least control, her power, despite it having still grown more. She is also one of the top students, but no current friends at the school with her. When she first arrived at the academy, she made some friends, but most of them have returned to their home clans to lead their clans or pursue other dreams. She keeps in contact with them, and still visits the Snapper Save, but is mostly alone at the academy. And that's fine! She's fine with being alone! She just needs to graduate, and then she can find a job as a mage, and a useful life researching or developing science or magic. The thing is, there's this new kid in the latest wave of students, and he won't leave her alone! Even after she beat him in a match, he just keeps trying to talk to her. Maybe Antares' mid-battle analysis skills are impressive, and maybe she took a look at his application research project and it's quite impressive, but that doesn't mean anything! (yes it does. she's just denser than Antares when it comes to romance.)

Adult Lore:

Midrin was fed up with the pearlcatcher who kept following her around. Why was he so eager to spend time with her? Despite her best attempts to get him to leave her alone, she ended up getting closer and closer to Antares. Eventually, she met his family, and they welcomed her in a way that no one had since she left the rescue like she was Antares' friend. The more time she spent with Antares, the more she wanted to spend more time with him, and the more she thought about him when he wasn't there. She didn't understand what was happening until Bailey took her out for a girl's night, and finally got her to realize that she was falling in love with Antares. They went out together on a research trip one day, and she decided to just get it over and done with. To her surprise, Antares was planning on confessing to her at the same time, and they both finally realized how much they had been lovesick fools.

Now, they are in charge of the Gale Sanctum, and Midrin is happy in this destiny she never thought she'd have. She has a nest of three, a loving family, and someone who can match both her fighting ability and her knowledge and skill. She is looking forward to meeting her children, as she lives the life she dreamed of as a child.

The eggs have hatched, and Midrin is determined to give them a loving family. Her babies are strong and healthy, and she can already tell that they will have bright and happy futures. She's working out schedules for teaching all six children different skills and lessons, and ready to cherish them as long as she can before they go out to find their own paths.
