______ Finding Stroganoff (aka Mother Beef, aka the Eternal Mother) is difficult work, unless you're a long-time resident of Stoneshroud, that is. Stroganoff is a naturally reclusive dragon, who finds interaction with others both taxing and time-consuming (time which, in her opinion, could be better spent carving new halls for the innermost section of Stoneshroud), and as such, she makes herself very, very hard to find. A combination of her magic and the naturally winding halls she's dedicated eternity to carving make it all the easier for her to prevent dragons from finding her. As such, very few can claim to have ever seen the elusive goddess in person.

______ Of course, she allows some curious folk an audience with her- given they don't wish to talk too long. New members of the Itzalmire bloodline are a must- they may not hold the blood of gods within them anymore, but Stroganoff still regards them highly. Next on the list are ambassador dragons. Though few have settled in Stoneshroud, it's common courtesy for a god to greet the representatives of the others, so ambassadors, too, are allowed a short conversation with the Eternal Mother. Lastly, of course, are the gods themselves that see fit to visit her, for one reason or another. Though few remember her, and fewer still are inclined to seek her out, Stroganoff still allows them to come and chat a while. It's only polite, after all.

______ Her status as a goddess isn't in name only. Back in the centuries before Stoneshroud grew to the bustling city it is today, Stroganoff had carved the first buildings into the sheer cliff face to allow her meager following a small place of respite. Of course, she found inspiration in the cliffs, and soon enough she lost herself in the act of creation. When at last she had carved the final building scaling this once imposing cliff, Stroganoff took a step back to gaze upon her work. While admiring the twisting architecture and the way the city seemed to claw at the heavens, a stray comment from her fellow god (an odd, twin-headed fellow named Itzalmire) lead her to realize- the city itself was only superficial. These buildings, this space, would be useless if not hollowed out.

______ So, taking the form of a Ridgeback, Stroganoff sank back into the blissful haze of creation, and started to dig.
