Her family was relatively large at some point, but their warlike feud with another clan resulted in more than a few deaths. She and a few others broke into the rival family’s lair one stormy night and stole their eggs. They were caught and had to scatter. She was injured on the way out and needed to seek shelter, but she didn’t want to go straight home. They came across a lair in the cliffs and the residents let them stay there until they healed. Everyone was as shocked as they were when a veilspun hatched from the egg. Unexpectedly, she got attached to the hatchling and decided to stay. Unfortunately, her abrasive nature tends to cause clashes with her new clanmates.

Though they’d never admit it, even just to themself, Vex enjoys having some respite from the chaos back home. It’s kind of nice to not have to be constantly vigilant. However, that doesn’t mean she isn’t vigilant. They are very aware of their surroundings and immediately try to pinpoint the weaknesses of anyone they meet. They are rather snappy to everyone except Chessika, Opal and her younger brother, Radio, who she misses dearly. Truth be told, they do feel kind of bad about leaving Radio without notice, but she justifies it by telling herself he needs to learn to be more independent.
