Recognized as the most gifted diviner at Home, Bruno was born with the gift of the Sight and has had prophetic visions of the future for as long as he can remember. A reclusive, superstitious, and withdrawn dragon, he keeps to himself and rarely makes appearances other than to warn others about his prophecies. Bruno thinks that he is only tolerated due to his gift - he knows perfectly well that diviners as gifted as he is only come around once every generation at most - and he has no idea how much his well-meaning, slightly goofy personality and his tremendous loyalty to his family endears him to the rest of the dragons at Home.

- Biography
Diviners born of non-Water elements are particularly rare, and Bruno considered it his job to help his birth Clan with his visions. He quickly learned, however, that the gift of prophecy is a heavy weight to bear. Other dragons would be confused and frightened by visions they didn't understand, and inevitably blame him when things went wrong. Bruno was eventually exiled by his birth Clan after they convinced themselves he was the cause of their misfortunes, and he came to Home while still a hatchling. His visions are the most frequent and vivid of Home's diviners, and while diviners with less innate talent often only prophesy in their dreams, he has waking visions as well as frequent dream prophecies. Bruno refused a placement in Jǫtunheimr Hall, Home's most coveted Hall for gifted magicians, and chose instead to be a member of Miðgarðr Hall despite his intention to study magic.

- Life at Home
Bruno strikes an off-putting, almost intimidating figure: tall for a Veilspun but with the typical lithe frame, his build resembles a skeleton (or, as his best friend Shande jokes, a Chihuahua), and chronic insomnia and nightmares brought on by his visions has given him a disheveled air. His reclusive nature doesn't help to alleviate his mysterious vibe. Despite this, though, Bruno is a gentle, sensitive dragon with a good heart and an excellent sense of humour. He makes the best jokes in Miðgarðr Hall, and has a reputation for quietly helping out dragons he's never even met. New arrivals and hatchlings are often scared of him, but he's usually so wrapped up in thinking about how awkward he comes across, he barely even notices, and his Hallmates in Miðgarðr are quick to scold any dragons who think about being rude to him. He prefers to keep his head down, and few dragons could blame him - no other dragon at Home has to deal with reporting terrifying visions of the future to the headmaster on a semi-regular basis, after all.

- Relationships
Bruno keeps to himself and has few close friends, but his best friend Shande always sticks up for him, and Home's other divination students respect and admire him. He prefers not to grow close to too many other dragons - prophecies are less horrifying when you don't really know the dragons they're about - but his good-natured personality means he can at least say he's acquaintances with many other dragons. Certainly, it's not unusual for dragons he doesn't know well to mistrust him. It often seems he only really shows up when he's got some terrible vision of the future to share, and it's easy for other dragons to blame him for these visions. Fortunately, though, he's got good friends who stick up for him, and he's loyal to his family at Home to an absolute fault.

- Personality
Often nervous and anxious, Bruno worries a great deal about his prophecies. He's a very superstitious dragon, and tries to keep his anxieties at bay with lots of good-luck charms and amulets. He thinks he's a very cowardly dragon, and indeed is so timid he has trouble sticking up for himself. He sticks closely to routines, and relies on the familiar to keep himself comfortable. He very rarely lets himself out of his shell. When he's in safe company, though, Bruno can really let himself shine. He has an understated, goofy sense of humour, and he loves to make other dragons laugh. He considers it his duty to protect his family at Home, and willingly puts himself through his visions for it, even though his professors have offered magical treatments to help suppress them. A good-natured, well-meaning dragon who always puts his family first, Bruno is used to selling himself short - but the other dragons at Home don't need to see the future to know he'll always be a valued member of the family.
