A garden shrouded in the shadows - flowers could rarely bloom under such harsh circumstances, without an inch of sunlight nor the slightest breeze. Yet Ena never gave up, for she knew that they would adapt eventually to their surroundings, as she had.

"There'ssss no point, Ena. Flowerssss of other Flights cannot grow without light." Her husband had once chided her, slithering amongst the branches like a snake and casting a sorrowful glance at yet another plot of withered, dark plants. She had shaken her head with a huff, dismissing Euros' thoughts.

"If flowers cannot bloom, why and how do creatures of life still frolic in these 'barren' lands? And why would Kessla grant me the permission to try?"

"Well, that'ssss..."

"Precisely. I will keep trying, even if it takes me to my grave. I trust our leader's judgment and my own."

Euros didn't dare say another word and only slunk away back into the shadows of the Wispwillow Grove. Time continued to pass, and Ena had never left her spot. Day and night - or perhaps, night and night - she never left her plants' side, feeding them with love and care that even a mother would be jealous of. Till the day came, and a single sprout of a Lilium flower emerged from the soil like a light in the dark.

"I told you, Euros. I told you."

Euros laughed while Ena snuggled in their fluffy mane. A cheerful, chittering laugh echoed from their chest, much like the chirps of a nymph.

They curled up around her feet, eyes shimmering with admiration and love for the one they called theirs.

"I know, love. I know."
