Svarog frowned in concentration and hammered the metal flat. She huffed out a breath of air, the heat singing against her scales as she attempted to contort the metal to her design. She glanced at the order form again.
“Covers the chest…ends at the tail…light protection on the wings…sharpened points for the claws.” She let out a groan. “What dragon requests armor for their claws?” Her frown deepened, fangs peeking out from her lips. Her raw strength allows her hammer to pound the metal flat, before moving it back into the forge.
“Do they have any idea how long a single chest plate takes? No, of course they don’t,” she mutters angrily to herself.
“Having trouble with unreasonable orders again?” an amused voice grumbled from behind her. Svarog threw a look behind her shoulder to see Syldiox standing behind her. She sighed. The nocturne was holding the handle of a dagger. The only issue was that the actual dagger was missing. Svarog glared hard at her.
“Broke your dagger again, Syldiox? Well, you’ll have to wait. Seivor wants a specially made set of armor.” Syldoix simply laughed.
“The wait will be worth it. You're the best at your craft in all the realms.” Svarog felt heat rush up to her cheeks and let out a little huff of air.
“Flattery will get you nowhere. What’d you even do to snap your dagger clean in half like that?” Syldoix simply shrugged.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She let out another laugh, causing Svarog to roll her eyes yet again. (They were going to get stuck if she kept having to roll them at her demanding clan mates).
“Just set it over on that table and I’ll see what I can do when I get done with Seivor’s demands,” she sighed, resigned to her fate of fixing Syldoix’s favorite dagger yet again. Syldoix gave a grin and set it down.
“Thanks! I’ll pay when I come to pick it up!” Svarog lifted a curved paw to wave the other away.
“Yeah yeah. Now let me work in peace.” Syldoix pulled the heavy door closed behind her, the dense wood scraping against the floor as it was dragged. Svarog shook her heavy head and got back to her work.
