✘✘✘ As an old Lightning dragon, Sobek has seen many various technological advances. He's still fond of the technology when he was a hatchling and goes out of his way to find it, searching high and low for the proper bits and bobs of what other dragons consider "useless junk." Somehow, he makes the useless junk into incredibly intricate devices that most of his earth dragon counterparts regard as highly illogical in the Earthshaker's realm. Although most of them roll their eyes and make comments about his hobbies, his mate Talutah allows him his eccentricities. The pair are close, although outwardly there isn't a whole lot of love between them that others can see. It is there, buried just below the surface.

The pair frequently travel together, Sobek on scavenging adventures and Talutah on her scouting missions. Much information is gathered between the two of them, though Sobek tends to bring back more machine parts than helpful information to the rest of the clan. His many inventions litter his den and the space outside it, sometimes causing a trip hazard and making several of his horde mates frustrated enough to kick his incessantly beeping mini-robots. Many dragons wonder how Talutah can stand the ruckus her mate makes, though she only smiles and indicates strongly that Sobek is incredibly sweet. Which he is. Many of his inventions are also gifts for his mate, or for their offspring. He has sent more than one hatchling into the world with a small token of his love and affection for them.

When it comes right down to it, Sobek is an inventor of incredibly useful items. The rest of the horde may grumble about his lightning flight habits but they grudgingly use many of his inventions. The most common invention used among the horde is probably the portable nest - a tool for mothers and fathers of new hatchlings to carry them without fear of losing them in the dust as the entire horde moves from place to place with their frequent wanderings. Despite his tough appearance, Sobek isn't prone to fights like many wildclaws. His age and wisdom have left the fighting part of him behind some time ago. He will readily defend himself and his mate if necessary but does not go out looking for fights.
