The son of the embittered, struggling Siofra and her scholarly, unworldly paramour, Zayit (who's never noticed his beloved has other partners), Fortin is determined to prosper - in both the faerie realm and the mundane world of dragons - in a way his mother has never achieved. If that means playing the fool for the faerie court, or even for mundane dragons, so be it. Foolishness is a skill he can hone like any other.
