One day, the heavens shook.

Contrary to popular belief, the heavens shaking is not a particularly noticeable event. It occurred in the dead of night, just an hour before dawn. Like a breeze passing through windchimes, every constellation shuddered, planets wobbling in their orbits, stretching gravity thin and nearly tearing reality at the seams.
But those stars, their accompanying planets, and their galaxies are many, many light-years away. The event went unobserved by dragonfolk and amateur astronomers, and even the studious, diligent magisters of the Oculus of the Eleven failed to notice. The Arcanist, high up in his Observatory, paused in his frantic calculations and scribbled records of observations. He looked to the sky, staring into the heavens for a solemn moment, and saw nothing.
What they did notice was the unforeseen occurrence of a shooting star, a brilliant comet that lit up the sky bright as day for half a second before its spectacular fire vanished into the atmosphere, disintegrated— or so they thought. Give them another four hundred years, and they might come to realize that fateful day, the heavens spat out the Pleiades, scattering the seven sisters across Sornieth.

Pleiades, old as the planet of Sornieth, struggles connecting with other dragons and understanding or empathizing with the seemingly petty day-to-day struggles and pleasures of othe dragonfolk. Just like a star, she is bright, cold, and distant.

Impassive to just about everyone and everything. She participates in the clan out of obligation, but the only thing she cares about is reuniting with her six sisters, scattered across Sornieth.

She doesn't actually speak common draconian, so communicating with her was and still is a challenge. The words that come out of her mouth sound something like draconian, but they're so alien and ancient they're indecipherable.

After being thrown from the sky, she struggled to adjust to her sudden dragon form and the entirely unfamiliar world surrounding her. She was found wandering the Starwood Strand, aimlessly gazing into the sky.
