Biography
The Frostguard
When Gilruth first took the role of leading the Frostguard, he didn't put much stock in his own abilities. His heritage left him uneasy, though curiosity soon wore out. If he possessed even a fraction of Her power, perhaps he could create others like himself. Ross is the first dragon Gilruth ever sculpted, and perhaps that is why she is the one most unlike him.
Where Vostok is quiet, and Scotia is obedient, Ross is a raging inferno of passion - and anger, mostly directed at him. She will not obey him simply because he is her creator nor at the behest of his magic and truth be told he is thankful for it. He wishes he was as brave as her. However, Gilruth's magic was untested and unrefined, causing it to waver within her. This is why she is able to have a personality, but has its costs. At times, much like the matriarch Rem, she is wracked with pain. As a result, she is permanently stationed at the entrance to the clan grounds should she need help, and typically only at night too as that is when her vision is at its best. Since Vostok and Scotia lack this pain, he once gave her the chance to be more closely bound to his will, to cease the fluctuations of his power.
Her response left a jagged scar down his neck that still aches to this day. Ross wants nothing to do with her 'father'. She has a job to do and her eye on someone who's started noticing her in return, and she doesn't really need much else to be happy. She wouldn't trade anything about herself for the world.
(Well she wouldn't mind losing the pain, but she will never accept Gilruth's offer.)
