A grower of herbs and fungi for use in healing and general magic, and the mate of Tara, who persuaded several dragons of her previous clan to move to the ruins. Enjoys experimenting with the varying magical properties of plants and fungi- sometimes to slightly disastrous results -and is working on compiling a guide to plants of various domains, organized chiefly by their magical functions. Not very skilled at imitating other dragons, and can only pull off convincing impressions of close friends and immediate family members. Bizarrely good at imitating plants and fungi, though, although his favorite thing to mimic is that of his Obelisk mate and children in stonestate.

First name is Jasper, but also goes by the surname of Riftrose, named for the faction to which his parents are a part. He wasn't raised with a formal surname, but journeying beyond his clan quickly showed him that Sorneith was full of other dragons by the name of Jasper. People began referring to him as Jasper Riftrose (perhaps as a shortening of 'Jasper who arose from the rift (faction)', perhaps as a corruption of the faction name of Cruxrose). Although Jasper dislikes the name's links to a faction that was born from the violent splitting of a single clan, he doesn't mind the name's floral connotations. The further he travelled from the faction's camp, near the Forbidden Portal, the fewer dragons recognized any the association between his name and an internal, albeit serious, event of a distant Arcane clan. Nonetheless, Jasper cautions his children against developing flaws akin to those his perceived in his parents' leaders, and teaches them the origin of the superficially sweet name.

Dabbles in old alchemy, and sells both his produce, and many potions that he makes, to Quin, who is practically his child-in-law at this stage.

I inexplicably think that his aesthetic is similar to Glimmer's? His personality much more resembles her relatives, though.
