Name: Alaina Sol
Age: 39 (canon takes place a few years in the future)
Birthdate: March 7, 1993
Type: Fire/Fighting
Nature: Rash
Region of Origin: Fortree, Hoenn
First Championship: Hoenn
Specialty: Fire Pokemon, Bird Pokemon, Well-Rounded
Partner Pokemon: Blaziken (Zeike)
Partner Trainer: Jason
Personality: Alaina is a hot-headed, brash trainer with an abrasive personality. With her distrust toward people, she's made herself very difficult to approach and befriend. However, she has the most patience and understanding when it comes to interacting and conversing with pokemon, to the point that she will ignore the safety of any human for the sake of a pokemon's well-being.

Background Alaina's parents each belonged to the crime organizations of Hoenn, her mother was an administrator of Team Aqua and her father an administrator of Team Magma. Having been passed back and forth through 'staged kidnappings', Alaina finally stole a pokemon and ran away at the age of 6. The pokemon she stole? A combusken from Team Magma. Since then, Alaina spent her childhood living in the wild and around pokemon, giving her the ability to understand pokemon speech and teaching Zeike, the combustion-now-blaziken, how to speak human. It wouldn't be until Alaina meets Jason that she finally learns to trust people again.

Kanto:
150.png
eevee.pngcharizard.pngvenusaur.pngblastoise.pngnidoqueen.pngnidoking.png
After she took down Team Aqua 'for good', Alaina had gone to Kanto in hopes of challenging herself with the Kantonian pokemon league with Jason by her side. However, She was met with a new challenge, and that was to gain the approval of Jason's parents, who were- much to Alaina’s surprise- in very high positions in Silph Co. Due to his parents’ high standards as to who their son was spending time with, their opinion on Alaina… wasn’t great. This lead to some conflicts between Jason and Alaina. Jason just wanted the issue to be left alone and for his parents to not be so expectant of Alaina, but for Alaina to also give his parents a chance and try to get along with them. Alaina wanted to be left alone and for Jason's parents to back off- mainly because of her poor experience with her biological parents.

It wasn’t until Jason and Alaina had a fight in which she stormed off and went into hiding for several hours. Jason had argued with his parents and told them that he wasn’t a child anymore, he was an adult, and he wasn’t asking for their approval for Alaina, they just needed a place to stay while she did her league challenge. Seeing as this is the most interest Jason had ever taken in a girl, they respectfully agreed and let Alaina be. Once Alaina collected the final Gym Badge she needed to challenge the Elite Four. And once she defeated the Elite Four, she was ready to challenge the champion, by that time Jason had begun laughing, walking across the field and standing before her as the champion she was meant to face.

Johto:
250.png
feraligatr.pngariados.pngnoctowl.pngampharos.pngtogekiss.pnghoundoom.png
After Alaina defeated Jason in the Kantonian championship challenge, they returned back to Saffron City, packed, and took the train to Goldenrod City, where Alaina took the league challenge, however, she decided that she wouldn’t challenge the Elite Four. During their travel through Johto, they begin to hear reports of people's pokemon going missing and once they reach Azalea Town, they start to find some slowpoke missing their tails. Alaina is outraged and Jason is furious, and he knows that this was the work of Team Rocket. At the same time, they began to hear broadcasts over the radio by Team Rocket. By the time they had reached Goldenrod and the radio tower, Team Rocket had left. They continued traveling for Alaina’s league challenge and eventually reached Mahogany Town, where they began to notice some enraged pokemon. There was a signal coming from an antenna hidden in a tree near one of the shops in Mahogany Town.

After Jason and Alaina infiltrated the base hidden under the shop, they encountered Giovanni, who ordered the base’s destruction after his eventual defeat. After a final threat toward Jason, Giovanni vanished once more. Then the building began to come down and Jason and Alaina scrambled to get out of the building. After they barely managed to escape, and when the dust settled, they began to hear crying from inside the base. They both rushed back inside and discovered a mew and a mewtwo that had been abandoned in the building. Among the two, they found many of the stolen pokemon that had been abandoned. Seeing as the mewtwo was never reported missing, Alaina adopted him. Jason had known the mew personally and told her to fly home. However, they had also found a radio that was still operating and discovered that Team Rocket were going after Lugia and Ho-Oh next.

Realizing the danger of the potential of the two legendaries falling into the wrong hands, Jason and Alaina split up to rescue each. Jason flying to the Whirl Islands because he’d already explored it, Alaina flying to the Bell Tower to rescue Ho-Oh. Fortunately, Alaina was able to reach the Bell Tower before Team Rocket and convinced Ho-Oh that they were in danger and that she needed to go with Alaina until she knew it was safe. Though Ho-Oh was suspicious, they were able to trust Alaina because of her ability to communicate with pokemon and the look of urgency Alaina’s togekiss had, confirming that she was telling the truth. As Alaina was preparing to leave to catch up with Jason, Team Rocket had caught up, seeing that she’d by all technicality, captured Ho-Oh before they did, and prepared for a fight. They were quickly defeated and Alaina was able to leave for the Whirl Islands. By the time Jason had reached the Whirl Islands, he discovered he was late- Team Rocket had already invaded the islands and were surely already trying to subdue Lugia. The storm brewing overhead could only mean that Lugia was already trying to fight them off. Jason charged forward but found that Lugia had fought off most of the grunts on his own, but he was severely injured. Having met in the past before, Lugia saw Jason as someone he could trust and cried out to him for help. Giovanni, frustrated with Jason’s persistence, shoots him in the chest. As Jason falls, the noise startled Lucia and caused him to begin a storm inside the cave, throwing around any remaining Team Rocket members, including Giovanni. Despite this, Lugia protected Jason, even if his condition was grim.

When Alaina and Ho-Oh reached the Whirl Islands, a storm had been raging. Ho-Oh explained that this meant that Lugia was rampaging, or at the very least, enraged. She quickly navigated through the cave and found that Team Rocket members had been thrown everywhere, most unconscious, some quite possibly dead. She’d received a warning from Lugia that he’d throw her through the storm if she’d get any closer. Lugia had been covered in cuts and scrapes. Upon seeing Jason unconscious behind Lugia’s protective stance, Alaina explained she was with Jason and was hoping to help. With Ho-Oh vouching for her, Lugia let her pass. When Alaina approached Jason, she found he wasn’t just unconscious… he had a fatal wound in his chest. Overridden with grief, she begged Ho-Oh to bring him back, to save him like they had with the Sacred Beasts, even begging to take his place. Without any exchange, Ho-Oh recognized that Jason was someone they’d given a rainbow feather to, and revived him without question and even healed his wounds. Due to the storm, it was believed that Giovanni was lost for good. Ho-Oh was released and allowed to fly back to their tower.

Hoenn:
382.png
blaziken.pngsceptile.pnggallade.pngflygon.pngdusknoir.pngmetagross.png
After Alaina ran away from the Team Magma base- a place she was forced to call home, she'd made herself at home in a secret base somewhere along the road to Fortree with a combusken she stole named Zeike, who was the runt of his brothers and sisters and was considered the weakest. Alaina and Zeike grew up together, but with Zeike maturing faster than Alaina, he began to take responsibility for raising her. It was because of these circumstances that Alaina knows how to talk to pokemon and Zeike knows how to speak human. With a run-in with her disapproving biological father, Alaina decided to help train Zeike to be the most powerful blaziken in Hoenn.

They collected the gym badges, taking the league by storm. Alaina and Zeike began to quickly grow a reputation for themselves as the most powerful trainer and blaziken in Hoenn. She then began to take him through the Elite Four, where, while they struggled, they still managed to defeat even Steven Stone. While Team Magma and Team Aqua was (somewhat) defeated by a previous champion that had come and gone just before Alaina, and remained 'dormant' in a way, a small organization called Team Sky emerged. With their goal to subjugate and use the legendary Rayqayza for their cause, their efforts were pitiful and Alaina disbanded the group on account of them not only antagonizing the sky deity, but having no grand vision to even justify it even from a villain's standpoint. Team Sky was dealt with before anyone even knew they existed.

Sinnoh:
484.png
empoleon.pngstaraptor.pngluxray.pngroserade.pngkricketune.pngmew.png
Wanting to distract themselves from the incident with Lugia, Ho-Oh and Team Rocket, and especially wanting to avoid Jason’s parents, Jason and Alaina travel straight out to Sinnoh for the league challenge after receiving her eighth gym badge from Johto. However upon arriving, instead of jumping straight into their new journey, they take a couple days at the hotel to mentally recover from the events of Johto. While Jason falls apart and tries to cope with the fact that he was dead, Alaina tries to process her feelings, having never experienced grief before. The two are inseparable for the first couple days they stay in the hotel. On the fourth or fifth day, they finally reached out to Professor Rowan to start their Sinnoh League Challenge.

As they start their league challenge, they agree to watch over a pair of twins that are working on the pokedex as a winter school project. They figure that with as many distractions as possible, they wouldn’t feel as haunted by what happened in Johto. However, they find that isn’t the case on their first night camping, when Alaina took first watch for wild pokemon and Jason began to have a nightmare regarding the event. The couple suffered from nightmares for the next few nights after that, to the point that because of their lack of sleep, they were irritable and short with everyone. As they observed this, the twins both agreed and helped research what could be causing them to have such terrible dreams and found that the dreams could very well be caused by Darkrai and the best way to remedy their situation was with a Lunar Wing from Cresselia. While Jason and Alaina thought the gesture was sweet, and appreciated their efforts, they explained that the real reason for their nightmares was much, much darker than just a pokemon stalking them. Regardless, finding Cresselia would help them. However, finding Cresselia proved to be a bigger challenge than any of the gyms they’ve faced so far.

Finally, they had a lead on the elusive pokemon, and conveniently, they could find her somewhere around Snowpoint- where their next gym challenge was scheduled. As they traveled up, through and around Mount Coronet, a blizzard had started. As they navigated around one of the ridges to look for a cave to camp out in for the time being, Lucas had stepped onto a geodude and startled it, which in turn, startled him and caused him to fall down the ridge. Without thinking, Alaina slid down the hill after him. Zeike told Jason and Dawn to keep moving and find shelter before hopping down to check on Alaina and Lucas. By the time he reached them, Alaina was freaking out, telling Zeike that Lucas was bleeding and wouldn’t wake up. With what medical supplies they did have, they dressed Lucas’ wound and carried him back up the mountain. While they’re separated, Jason and Alaina start to have anxiety and begin to worry about the other. When Dawn notices Jason shaking from nervousness, she asks Jason if he’s okay, he replies ‘no’, and tells her the truth about his nightmares.

The blizzard finally subsides. Jason and Dawn step out to see if they can find Alaina, Zeike and Lucas, but find a rescue crew instead. Relieved, they explain what happened and are escorted the rest of the way to Snowpoint while they go to help the rest of their party. When Alaina, Zeike and Lucas are found, they’re taken immediately to the Snowpoint clinic for Lucas’ injury. The party sits and waits for word on Lucas before deciding on tackling the gym and searching for Cresselia the next day. That night, it was Dawn who had a nightmare and woke up in a panic, insisting that she go to see her brother. When they step out of their hotel, they see Darkrai and Cresselia having a fight just above the town. Alaina sends Zeike to take Dawn to see Lucas while she and Jason address the fight that could potentially put people in danger. They both send out their staravia and corral the Lunar Duo outside of Snowpoint and lead them to Lake Acuity. Once there, Darkrai hits Cresselia with a super-effective Dark Pulse and knocks her down. Jason and Alaina, trying to stop the fight and hardly worried about anything else at the moment, stand in front of Cresselia and block her from another attack. Darkrai hesitates and tells them to move, but after his fight with Cresselia, his warnings and threats were empty and he was almost just as exhausted as she was. When Jason and Alaina refuse, Darkrai nearly collapses. Jason and Alaina help the Lunar Duo with their injuries, and after seeing the exhausted pokemon, and registering how exhausted they were, they break down.

Darkrai and Cresselia agree to a truce. They comfort Jason and Alaina and Cresselia gives them the Lunar Wing, promising them that they wouldn't be plagued with nightmares of Jason's death as long as they have it in their possession. With that, they part ways. Dawn and Zeike finally catch up and ask if they're okay, then tell them that Lucas was fine. With that, Jason and Alaina take turns doing the gym challenge and helping Dawn with her pokedex, feeling a little more confident that they'd be okay if they were separated for a short time. All if their gym badges were collected, they defeated Cynthia, and with the declaration to travel to Unova to tackle the league challenge there, they gained the reputation of the Globetrotting Champions.

Unova:
643.png
serperior.pnggalvantula.pngbraviary.pngzoroark.pngchandelure.pngreuniclus.png
After their championship in Sinnoh, Jason and Alaina had gained a reputation for themselves, having been called the 'Globetrotting Champions'. It was because of this, the Power Couple were called to Unova to help solve the mystery of their missing champion. While they were there- they helped handle the resurgence of Team Plasma, did the League Challenge, and eventually did find the missing Unovian Champion. Derek's condition was... very poor. They had discovered that they had captured him and separated him from the Reshiram and Zekrom he'd captured, only to forcefully fuse it with the Kyurem they'd discovered and kept in captivity.

“After their championship in Sinnoh, Jason and Alaina had gained a reputation for themselves. They were invited to Unova to investigate the disappearance of the Champion, Derek. Despite the champion being missing, they still took on the gyms, but only to collect the badges to gain certain permissions and access to further their investigation. They eventually find him in the possession of Team Plasma and encounter the fusion of Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom.”

“Jason spends almost the whole trip trying to propose to Alaina, but keeps getting interrupted by either the kids that they’re coaching, a pokemon, or Team Flare. When he finally does propose, Jason and Alaina are about to storm Team Flare’s base in Geosenge and capture Xerneas and Yveltal. Once the event is done, they get married in Anistar in front of that crystal thing.
*Side note- it is discovered while they are in Kalos that someone Alaina knew had recently passed away, and she is trying to process that for a good portion of it because one of the kids they’re coaching was a friend of his.”

“Jason and Alaina go to Alola after getting married for a honeymoon, and get invited to do the island challenge. While there, they deal with Team Skull shenanigans, and eventually- the Aether Foundation. Lusamine jumped into a wormhole and Guzma blindly followed, so Jason and Alaina went and followed to save his dumb *** at Plumeria’s request. Once Guzma is rescued and Lusamine is arrested- Jason and Alaina became champions and reformed Team Skull.”

“There is an issue with Team Rainbow Rocket at the Aether Foundation. Alaina and London encounter Texas (and Georgia). After Texas’ defeat, Blaze is surrendered to Alaina. Jason deals with Giovanni, after he defeats him, he gets shot. While Jason was taken back to Kanto to recover after his parents intervened, Alaina spends her time trying to cope without him. She blames herself for the incident, but everyone else knows it wasn’t even close to being her fault. He finally returns after a few months.”

Hisui:

yBnx4v7.pngumbreon.pngqOmDKkZ.pngempoleon.pnggallade.pngu3O2bhs.png
After being pulled through a rift that had opened in their living room, Alaina woke up on the Prelude Beach near Jubilife Village, in what seemed to be Ancient Sinnoh- or rather- Hisui. She’d made an attempt at trying to recapture the professor’s escaped pokemon, but only one had escaped. She had no idea how to get home, and she had no idea whether her husband was even alive or not, let alone where he was. Her apparent mission: Seek out all pokemon. So she chose the oshawott to accompany her on completing this pokedex for Professor Laventon. While she was trying to get the hang of the way things worked with the Galaxy Expedition Team, she meets a merchant by the name of Volo, and like everyone else she’d met so far, he appeared to be a descendant of someone she’d met in her own time, Cynthia, who seemed helpful... but annoyingly optimistic and a bit too cheery for her liking.

Alaina was tasked with not only filling the pokedex, but with quelling the frenzied nobles that had been plaguing Hisui as of late. After her fight with Liligant, she had discovered that her husband had been surviving out on the Cobalt Coastlands with Iscan and Palina, and that he quelled the frenzied Lord Arcanine that she was assigned to next. And it was after that mission when they discovered that Ingo had fallen too, and that he'd completely lost his memory. Jason and Alaina were determined to not only get his memory back, but take him home and reunite him with his distressed twin brother.

When they finally quelled the frenzy of the final Noble, and capture the pokemon of time and space- the discover that Volo, a once 'close' friend and trusted ally, had been behind the rifts that had been opening up all over Hisui, and would continue to do so until he was able to subjugate Arceus with the help of Giratina. After an emotional battle and a bittersweet victory, Volo vanished.

By then, Jason and Alaina's mission was nearly done. Of course, with Ingo's help, they were able to complete the pokedex and battle Arceus. Once defeated, rather than offer to send them home, Arceus requested that they walk the earth with them. However, the request was quickly denied, being argued that the god pokemon had ripped them from their lives and dropped them here where everything had become their responsibility. They demanded to go home, and if Arceus wanted to see the world through the eyes of a companion, to travel with Rei and Akari. Arceus agreed with this compromise and transported the three to the summit of Mt. Coronet in modern Sinnoh. They weren't exactly home, but they were able to find their way soon enough.
