Mervin is an anxious and deranged mess of a dragon. He drinks so much coffee that half his bloodstream is probably caffeine at this point. He used to be a bit of a conspiracy theorist, constructing long-winded theories about unexplainable phenomena, powers that went outside elemental magic, until one day he stumbled across Ceryn doing research for a hunt because they were both checking out the same book. He knew there was more to her than she let on, and after trying to make awkward conversation, she looked at what he was trying to solve and decided to let him in on her secrets; magic outside of the Eleven's elements, and supernatural beings do exist--and she is from a bloodline born to track harmful creatures with such power down. Now, he's basically her research assistant...and while working with her, the awkward dork has developed a bit of a crush. Mervin just has a thing for smart, powerful women who could probably crush him like a bug, y'know?
