Biography
Agathon
Inconsequential Prince
Book I Aeneid Dragon
Thank you, Strangeflesh!
Named after Agathon, inconsequential prince of troy, in honor of managing to do some hard translation of the Aeneid.
Aeneid Project FAQ
What is this? Hi there! I'm translating the Aeneid, and these are my dragons dedicated to translating.
Why though? Translating is fun, but hard work, and dragons makes it slightly less hard.
Why is it Venus/Juno and not Aphrodite/Hera? Since the Roman gods and Greek gods are not the same gods, and since this is focused on the Aeneid, I focused on the Roman gods. However, the Aeneid is also a story about stories that takes from non-Roman culture, hence why other pantheons are named.
What's with the spellings? This is very weird and complicated to me, so I'm just going to shorten it to say that everyone uses Roman Anglicizations (to reflect that they're Aeneid interpretations) except Kassandra who is a more accurate Romanization of the Ancient Greek spelling.
