ABOUT.
Montague is one of the Realmwalkers' most ferociously dedicated agents -- that is, dedicated solely to chasing down Capulet, a 'minor' artifact thief and cat burglar. Capulet is their sworn, most hated enemy, and every moment not spent hunting her down is a moment spent in seething hatred.

Half of the Corps have a running bet going on whatever happens first: either Montague catches Capulet once and for all or Montague's heart, arteries clogged with spite and loathing, finally gives out. There's another secret bet, privy only to a select few. Specifically, to those who have worked under Montague's command long enough and might have even encountered Capulet herself; either those first two things happen, or the impossible does: the two of them kiss.

Of course, any mention of this to Montague results in them erupting into an incandescent rage.

IMPRESSIONS.
Has a tendency to gaze into the middle distance. Shouts a lot. Well-meaning but has a weird way of showing it. Has a lot of tension headaches because of all the teeth gritting they do.

PAST.
The first time Montague caught Capulet was the closest they would ever come. The light in the obelisk's eyes, the wide, mocking grin on their face -- Montague spent sleepless nights thinking about the shine of handcuffs on Capulet's wrists, handcuffs that all but unlocked themselves as she broke free from Montague's grasp.

Montague was under the command of a senior officer, one who had bigger fish to fry than Capulet. So they bided their time, built a rapport, and put in the work, all the while quietly tracking the cat burglar of their own accord as both their careers began to grow.

When a task force was finally established to track Capulet down, Montague was first pick for the command. The first year they began, their team was shiny and new, eager to bring the cunning thief to justice. They chased every new lead, interrogated everyone who ever saw a hair on that cat burglar's head. Montague saw to it themselves that no stone was left unturned. But no matter where they looked or who they asked, it seemed as though Capulet had vanished off the face of Sorineth -- no burglaries, no black market auctions, no heists. Almost as if she knew that the Realmwalkers was looking for her. That Montague was looking for her.

As each lead petered out, Montague's rage grew. How dare she? The task force would collapse in on itself, and her career would disintegrate before it even begun. It felt like a betrayal.

But just as the higher-ups were about to pull the plug, they made a discovery.
