Biography
Ishtar has always been quite mopey and sad without Basil, or at least a friend, by her side. Right from the very beginning. After sifting her way through the piles of soil and grass that had been mysteriously piled on top of her egg, the guardian hatchling immediately had a strange, empty feeling in her belly. That feeling, a feeling she’d come to know well, was loneliness.
Luckily enough, soon after she began rooting around for something to eat, a tundra came up to her and introduced himself as Basil. Ishtar immediately fell for the green dragon, and since then they’ve been mates- though not always in as serious of a relationship. At first they were simply close friends who only really stayed together to help each other survive until they could stand on their own. The problem? Ishtar didn’t want to stand on her own.
It was Ishtar who first came up with the idea of starting a clan. Basil was heavily invested in the idea, stating how much it’d help his herb gardens to have other dragons who could help out with and buy the yields. Ishtar nodded and agreed, all the while hiding the real fact she wanted to establish her own clan- a cure all for her incessant loneliness.
Soon enough the duo had begun to gather dragons for their quaint little village, a collection of homes for various dragons tucked in the countryside of the Windswept Plateau. Though interestingly, as the population of Haizea Fields grew, so did Ishtar’s hollow feeling of loneliness. Which was why she began to cling to her mate more and more, constantly desperate for his lovely laugh or silky fur- virtually unable to run the clan when Basil leaves to tend to his gardens.
Perhaps one day Ishtar can learn to live without the love of her life for a mere day, possibly even two. That way she could properly take on her role as Queen of Haizea Fields.
