Stonemason

After finding out she was distantly descended from an Arcane dragon, Zapata decided to make the long trek from the Fortress of Ends to the Starfall Isles in search of an easier way of life. On the way, she met Igaluk, a fellow Gaoler whom she quickly grew close to.

Zapata was formerly an ice sculptor, but had to retrain as a stonemason once she arrived in the Arcane territories, as ice there was much harder to come by. Luckily she's a quick learner and very skilled with her claws. She and Igaluk were invited to join the Focal Company after just a few years of living in the Crystalpine Reaches, as they'd both already gained a reputation for their specialised skills and high quality goods: Igaluk with his soft furs and Zapata with her detailed stone carvings.

In terms of personality, she's quite standoffish unless other dragons make a big effort to get to know her. She prefers not getting involved in the everyday drama of the clan, but keeps getting dragged into it regardless. Voght, the merchant Ridgeback who commissions her to sell her stone carvings, continuously gets her into arguments by overpricing her goods at the market. There's some tension between herself and the other craftsmen of the clan, like Javan and Starfire, as they all seem to be competing for the title of the Clan's Best Artisan.

Though she may seem intimidating at first glance, the skull she wears is merely a mask she carved herself.
