Child of the Warband

Educated and trained in the basics of combat, magic, and manners, children of Saroi’s Warband are an asset wherever they go.

One day, the inventor was on a supply run in the Scarred Wasteland, looking for strange fungi. On his trip he discovered the small Skydancer curled up in a ball, half dead. The Hatchling had a tag on her, and it said that she had belonged to a place called the Saroi’s Warband, but the word “SOLD” had been written over the text. She had been abandoned by the dragons that had originally bought her. Roradan looked around, trying to see if there were any dragons around, but there were none. He had saw that a name had been written on the tag as well. “Delicacy” was the name given to her, but he didn’t like it, so he decided to call the hatchling Malvada, meaning death.

Roradan gave up on searching for the fungi. He grabbed the child and flew back to the Novalight Sanctuary, though he was worried that the child wouldn’t make it.

She woke up in a strange den full of bioluminescent fungi, very different from the fungi found in her home. There was a purple and blue Pearlcatcher walking around gathering herbs for something, presumably medicine, and then she turned round.

“Oh, you’re awake. Thank The Shadowbinder! I was worried you wouldn’t wake up at all.” She said

“Where am i?” She asked.

“You’re in the Tangled Wood, though specifically in the Wispwillow Grove. You’re now in the safe care of the Novalight Sanctuary, that is unless you decide to leave.” She said “My name’s Meridian, and I’m the hatchling caretaker here. You were brought here by Roradan, who’s our inventor and scientist.”

“My name’s Delicacy.” She said in a strange voice, like her name meant nothing to her.

“That’s the name on your tag right? Well, Roradan didn’t like it very much, so he decided to give you the name ‘Malvada’.” She said.

Malvada. She liked that name, a lot. She felt like it fit her well.

“I like it.” She said. “I guess you can call me Malvada then.”

Meridian simply smiled and nodded her head.

She had to stay in the den for awhile, needing to be monitored. After she was deemed healthy, Meridian let her leave to join the other young dragons. She had told her that she wanted to stay, for she liked it at the Sanctuary. The dragon Roradan had also taken her as an adoptive daughter, along with his mate Axius. She liked her two adoptive parents. Axius was nice and funny, while Roradan was the complete opposite. It wasn’t that the inventor wasn’t nice, it was that he didn’t show affection often.

She had already learned much from her old home, but Roradan taught her how to build items out of many things, and Axius had taught her how to play games such as ‘Tag’ or ‘Pin The Tail On The Dragon’. She loved her new home, and was happy. She’s currently in training to be a warrior for the Sanctuary, even though she already knows the things they’re teaching her. She’s also been secretly training to become an assassin by Asesinato, even though she knows it’s frowned upon by those in the Sanctuary. Though, one can never know when it’ll come in handy…

Most dragons who see her are stunned by her beauty. Some would say that she’s one of the most beautiful dragons ever, even rivaling Peacock and Majesty, two of the council members who were seen as the most beautiful dragons in the Novalight Sanctuary. Most were even more attracted to her because of her mysteriousness, confidence, and strength. She almost nearly rivaled Sodapop as the strongest in the Sanctuary, and he’s the captain of the warriors!

She would always be seen carrying herself regally, like she was the queen of the world or full of herself. In actuality, she was pretty nice, willing to help those who need it. She’s also incredibly intelligent and is able to learn things really quickly, and because of this she knows how to do many things. On one hand, she’s one of the toughest warriors, on the other, she’s one of the most beautiful dragons, and she’s also very intelligent. A triple threat.
