How Did You Love

Roradan is an ancient scientist who had a mind like no other. He was smarter than most and had already invented things that were before their time. His main goal, however, was to make himself immortal.

His first step of this plan was to convince the ancient leaders of his time to let him work on the experiment, making them believe that he was doing it to make them immortal. The leaders were good, but were very narcissistic and full of themselves. Because of this, they let him work. After weeks and weeks, Roradan finally perfected the potion needed to make himself immortal, and drank it.

When the gods found out about this, they were enraged. They banished him to a small unknown island off of the coast of Sornieth, possibly near the Shifting Expanse, forever to be alone. All he had was his brain, if shattered ego, and some of his inventions. Few of the inventions were broken, but most were lost, never to be found again.

According to legends, some say that he is still alive, and supposedly not alone. It is said that a Demigod by the name of Axius had found him one day on the small island, searching for things to help with making more inventions. She supposedly fell in love with him, and he fell in love with her.

To this day no one really knows if Roradan is still alive, but some choose to believe that, if he is alive, that he his content with his life.

And now, he and Axius live in the Novalight Sanctuary, where they both live peaceful lives in the well hidden clan.

One day, the inventor was on a supply run in the Scarred Wasteland, looking for strange fungi. On his trip he discovered the small Skydancer curled up in a ball, half dead. The Hatchling had a tag on her, and it said that she had Belonged to a place called the Saroi’s Warband, but the word “SOLD” had been written over the text. She had been abandoned by the dragons that had originally bought her. Roradan looked around, trying to see if there were any dragons around, but there were none. He had saw that a name had been written on the tag as well. “Delicacy” was the name given to her, but he didn’t like it, so he decided to call the hatchling Malvada, meaning death.

Roradan gave up on searching for the fungi. He grabbed the child and flew back to the Novalight Sanctuary, though he was worried that the child wouldn’t make it. Fortunately, he was able to get there just in time and was able to get Malvada into the care of Meridian.
