The Reincarnated

Amarah is neither dead nor alive, trapped somewhere between endless sleep and immortality. Do not mistake it for mindless, though, she is every bit a dragon as any other member of the clan. Although not her original clan, Amarah has known no other home but Cynefin. It was the firstborn to loving parents -- Nature drakes -- but died of sickness as a hatchling. Rife with grief and seeing no other option, her parents brought her to Cynefin’s Necromancer, Falak, and begged him to revive it. Falak warned them it was not a good idea; that their child would return as neither dragon nor spirit, but something wretched. It was a gamble on her life and would perhaps be best to let her soul rest. Determined, the parents demanded that he bring their hatchling back regardless. When he did, against his better judgment, she was not the small wyrm she had been, but a twisted, demented creature borne of the disease that had stolen her life and the magic that wrested it back. It was rejected by her parents, seen as a disgrace, and no longer their kin. They returned to their clan without Amarah, who was left behind; scared and confused. Cynefin took her in, raising and training her into the flourishing drake she is now. Despite her repugnant, decayed appearance Amarah is a kindhearted and selfless but reserved dragon that serves the clan faithfully and fully.
