Biography
| Almond's mother was rooted in war, blood and tears, her flowers were drenched red and her heart was drowning in others' sorrow. That's why she made the choice to allow him freedom. Freedom to choose his own path, unlike her who was thrown into conflict the moment she stepped out of the veil, and gave him one of her flowers to carry with him, a tiny little red anemone that would shower him in good luck. What she didn't know was that it also decelerated his growth. Almond ages very slowly compared to other gaolers, appearing eternally youthful. |

Almond helps souls fulfill their promises and move on, and he's been doing it for a while despite his small stature. But recently he has met a dead end. A cursed circus hidden in Foxfire Bramble refuses to let its residents go, corporeal or otherwise, and forces them to work as performers for eternity. Almond has been stuck in this region for so long trying to help them, that he has built a nest between the thorns and even made friends with the local populance. Some of his new friends have even taken a spot in his nest. To protect his home, Almond has made the bold decision to plant one of his flowers nearby and let it grow into a full, eternally blooming, almond tree. It is quite an odd picture though amongst the eternally dark brambles. The loss of his flower has taken a toll on him, but Almond, with his mother's evergreen flower, can use two of the tree's new flowers to replenish the depletion of his soul. Until then, he needs to guard his tree while also helping the souls trapped in the circus. Almond has his plate full. He's quite glad he has his companions with him. |
