Hjalmar awakens to a mother with many eyes gazing at him from her wings. With a split decision, she hauls Hjalmar up from the nest and declares him to be her progeny. Immediately subject to gruelling training in arcane magics and brutal fighting, Hjalmar soon becomes hardened to the world, gaining a black and white view of his allies or enemies. If a dragon or clan isn't Hjalmar's ally, they're his enemy and shall be eliminated, swiftly and brutally.

To him, the indecisive Sanitatem attitudes towards the Polareis conflict are repulsive. He sets out to decide for himself which side his clan should take. Arriving first at the old Polareis lair near the Observatory, his harsh ideals are not immediately welcome. Resentful of their rejection, he flies next to the newer lair facing the Forbidden Portal.

Here, he is immediately recognized as a potential ally. Empty promises sway his opinion, leading him to become a devotee of the stars. The more time he spends in the clan, listening to priestesses and fighters and prophets, the more convinced he becomes that arriving here was his calling all along.
