Min’s egg was laid on the perfect edge of Water and Light’s territories, just due north of Tsunami Flats, born to water-dragons fleeing the Sea of a Thousand Currents after Tidelord vanished. She had two siblings, both of whom died before they could hatch due to the tumultuous Light and Water magic fighting for control. The clan believed Min would be the same, her birth clearly cursed, but her egg did not die. And when her eyes blinked open as she shook off her shell, one was water and one was light. A dual-element dragon. The clan's elders were horrified and confused, certain this was a bad omen. Her childhood was a lonely one, being hidden away from other hatchlings with the superstitious fear that they would somehow be 'infected' with her surely impending bad luck.
Then one night, she experimented with her magic in an out-of-the-way cove, reflecting light through water to create rainbows in the air. The light show attracted the attention of Lancer, who was docking her ship on the other side of the bay. They locked eyes from across the beach, and before she knew what was going on, Lancer had crossed over to where she was standing and began asking questions--about who she was, what she was doing, what she was capable of. She offered her a place in the crew, and she left that night, never once looking back.
Min is remarkably intelligent, fiercely loyal, and you never quite know what to expect from her. She's very physically weak as a result of her two elements attacking each other in her body, but uses her magic in an array of dazzling and distracting flashes to get her opponents off guard. She's Sirene's best friend and constantly comes to her with stories from the crew's missions, full of daring escapades and narrow escapes; she has a massive crush on her.
