B I O G R A P H Y
He claims he shouldn't be classified as a warrior in the Arena. He is a gentle and kind soul that insists he would rather stay close to home and hearth alongside his mate. He met Ragnarok here by Windstar Bay. He remembers the day with great fondness … the sun was dancing on the water and it was a warm day in June. The breezes were gently blowing and the glades were rustling along the bank in a stand of cattails. Rogue always would giggle a little at the sound of cattails, he was sure they didn’t look like cat’s tails. But, we are getting ahead of ourselves - Arranged marriages are a long honored tradition in families of wealth and privilege here in the Plateau. Rogue was betrothed at birth to a very influential family of staggering wealth - and close friends of the clan Matriarch Daidra. They all lived in fairly close proximity to one another and attended many philanthropic functions during the year for their various patronages. Rogue was bound and determined he was not going to marry this girl, whoever she was! Rogue’s parents had brokered a deal with another family and he was to marry their daughter, when they were of age. Rogue's family held strong ties to the family he was promised to. It was no secret in his home clan he held strong resentment toward his family that had contracted him to marry. The family in question lived in the clan called Aerewyn. Not far from his home clan, but far enough he didn’t spend time visiting. He truly didn’t want anything to do with this sham. The family he was promised to was having trouble of their own. Their daughter was not happy about her plight to be bound to a Fae she never even met, let alone love! She didn’t believe in the traditions of arranged marriages, and she was in high hopes he didn’t either. The little Fae decided it was time to make her stance known and refuse to marry and honour the contract her parents had bound her to long before she was hatched. Rogue set off to visit Aerewyn’s clan, he had always heard it was land Windsinger had given the founder’s eons ago. He never did put much stock into rumours. Arriving quietly he decided to set down at the bay. He always loved going to the bay - sitting on the shores daydreaming of his perfect mate. She would be the colour of blue to match the sky and the water, maybe a hint of obsidian just to round out the balance. Oh she would be so beautiful - her wings would shimmer as an iridescent glow on her body would pick up the sun’s light, as it reflected off the water. Yes, he was certain she would be the Fae of his dreams. So lost in his daydream he didn’t hear the little Fae approach the water’s edge to cool her claws. Wading in the water while making ripples as she playfully splashed about. The noise caught Rogue’s attention. He was all set to be mad at all the noise, coming out from behind the small dune he had been laying on - catching a glimpse of the slight Fae singing and splashing a bit. |

Trying to say something, but nothing would come out - just uhm … as his jaw failed to completely retract. Startling the little Fae she must have jumped 10 feet into the air and was now hovering above Rogue. She didn’t have the patience to wait for this intruder to say something. “What do you think you're doing,” she snapped. All Rogue could do was stammer as he tried to explain who he was. “Well?” Do you have anything to say for yourself?” Relentless with her questions he just stared at her beauty. Was he dreaming? Deciding to pinch himself to confirm he was not dreaming, a bit of a small yelp came out. “Well, hello, she began. I am Ragnarok, and you are?” Finally able to reply he quietly announced his name as Rogue. He couldn’t believe his eyes, in front of him - his perfect mate he had dreamed about for years. She was right there. Making their way over to the small dunes by the water’s edge they sat and stared out over the water. Silently watching as the sun began to melt away into the horizon - like an artist's palette splashes of pink, red and purple hues, dotted the sky. As the frogs, crickets and owls began their nightly song, the moon began to rise glinting in a silver shimmer and a bright full moon graced the night sky. Who would have ever dreamed that this arranged marriage would end up being a match made in heaven after all …. They will never know. |
