Biography
C H A R L E S
"Why don't you calm down a little? I'm sure we'll find a way out together."
-Was able to imbue his work with pieces of his soul. Because of that, he spent his whole life creating art in an attempt to recreate the person closest to his heart, but he never truly succeeded.
-Able to create and enter a world (museum) made of his soul through his works of art. This extends past his death, but unfortunately by that time most of his soul has already been passed onto the art, so he himself is only a weak being in the museum.
-All his attempts to recreate Vincent ended up with them being hopelessly suicidal and self-destructive, with the only surviving attempt being the "Call of the Deep", though their personality was more than a little twisted.
-Charlie keeps all these failed attempts in their own room in the world, though he also seems to avoid that room. Avoids Call too, doesn't seem to like him.
-Some of those failed versions aren't fully dead, and can be heard sometimes when passing by the "Room of Vincents", begging for death until they're unable to.
-Not much public information on him, or the story behind his art. This mystery only serves to draw in people who want to give their own opinions on his works and their meaning.
-Wasn't very close to others; probably a result of a big part of his younger years spent having to take care of a bedridden mother. She basically took over his entire life, and everything he did was in some way tied back to her, including his desire to become a doctor eventually. His father had left before he was even born, and Charlie had no knowledge on who he even was nor did he have the time or desire to track him down. When his mother finally died, Charlie felt almost free for a moment before realizing he had no idea what to do with his life now that she was gone.
-Had only two people he'd call friends. One of them being Henrietta (aka Anri) who was his friend throughout his school years, and the other being C (Vincent), who he befriended online. Anri eventually moved away due to her parents changing jobs and C went quiet online after telling Charlie that he was "returning to his heavenly domain". After C was gone, Charlie started pouring more time into his art, even quitting his job to spend more time on painting.
-Thought of humans as tainted, including himself. The only person he felt was pure from the negativity of humanity was Vincent.
-Never attempted to try and find Vincent irl despite knowing his full real name, school and general location (there was a part of him that was scared of being disillusioned. And another that was too scared to confirm what'd happened to him).
