Biography
As soon as she opened her door, she froze.
How dare he. How dare he. It was enough that he had already wrecked her garden and ruined her tidy house after inviting a ton of random strangers to pack into it and rampage through it. Now he was in her room. On her bed.
"Get. Off. My. Bed," Glaerime growled.
Cinnamon rolled over to face her, giving her a stupid innocent puppy-like expression. "Hmm?" he murmured sleepily.
Ridiculous. "I know you heard me," Glaerime said darkly, glaring at him. "Get off."
"No thanks, I'm pretty comfortable. Plus, last I checked, this bed was big enough for two drakes."
"Excuse me?" Glaerime asked, outraged.
Cinnamon shrugged. "You have a nice couch in your living room. You should sleep on that. Just ignore the juice someone spilled on it earlier."
Glaerime bristled.
"I love you, Glaerime. More than you could ever know."
Glaerime took her claws out of Cinnamon's and just stared at him. "You've been a bit of a jerk."
"I know," he groaned, "and I am deeply sorry for it. My behavior was selfish and... uncalled for. I know you deserve so much better."
"I--I don't love you."
"I thought you'd say that. But it's okay. I'm not asking for your love... All I want is your forgiveness." Cinnamon dipped his head shamefully. "Please, forgive me?"
Glaerime knew he was being sincere, but it still felt like some sort of trick. Something to make her feel sympathy for someone who came in unexpectedly and wrecked everything. After everything he put her through... She sighed, then said softly, "I forgive you."
Cinnamon smiled sadly. "Thank you. By the way, I fixed your house; I'll leave the Province tomorrow morning." He snapped his fingers and suddenly they were both in Glaerime's cottage, and it looked just like it had the day before Cinnamon invaded it.
Glaerime stumbled, feeling slightly dizzy. How in the world--?
Cinnamon started towards the door.
"Wha--I thought you said you were leaving in the morning?"
"Leaving the Province in the morning. Leaving your house this instant." To prove his point, he marched out the door and stood on the path outside. "I don't want to stay in your house any longer. I've quite proven myself to be a leech upon others' lives, so I don't intend to ever again."
