Orrery

Captain of the Guard

Orrery is charged with defending Clan Zorya's lair. Though her loyalty is unwavering, she often finds herself at odds with Circe's unorthodox style of leadership. With great patience and integrity, Orrery is able to perform as circumstances would dictate, but she regrets her strained relationship with her leader. For her part, Circe finds Orrery to be a self-righteous stick-in-the-mud. It's a wonder anything gets accomplished without her fussing at every moral quandary. At least her quiet vexation is kind of funny.

She is deeply respected by her fellow guardsmen, but it can be difficult to meet her high standards of performance. Even off-duty, Orrery's every waking hour is spent honing her combative and strategic abilities. She is soft-spoken, yet firm, in her dealings with others. Clan-mates fear her disappointment far more than her wrath.

Orrery is unaware of the ongoing rivalry between the Guard and the Hunt, whose behavior she already regards as atrocious. Sinking to their level would be completely unacceptable, which is why she will not be informed any time soon.
